WAX TREATMENT BENEFITS
There are many reasons to wax, it may enhance performance for cyclists, swimmers and athletes, and reduce injury complications. Dancers, models, gym bunnies and bodybuilders want to show their bodies at their best. Some prefer the lighter, cooler, cleaner, more hygienic and even sexier feel of being hair free. Waxing temporarily removes hair.
Wax is applied to the skin, this sticks to the hair which is then removed with a paper strip or by hand depending on the type of wax used. Warm wax and paper strips are normally used for less sensitive areas, whilst hot wax is normally used for more intimate areas.
Waxing removes the entire hair follicle from the root, this means you remain hair free and smoother much longer. The new hair is considerably finer and softer too. Over a period of time less hair will regrow.
Shaving and chemical depilatories remove the hair at skin level. The hair reacts as if being attacked therefore the regrowth becomes quicker, thicker and can cause irritation and sometimes a significant adverse reaction.
For best results you will need at least half a centimeter of hair growth and no more than two centimeters. You may need to trim especially intimate areas to minimise pain and optimise results.
We ask that you shower/bathe prior to waxing and refrain from physical activities, swimming, sunbathing and use of sunbeds, steam rooms and saunas for 24 hours before and after any hair removal treatment.
Please wear loose fitted clothing.
Make sure you are hydrated. When the body is dehydrated it tends to hold onto fluids, causing the pores to shut tight making it more painful to remove the hair. Increase your water intake both the day before and the day of your treatment.
Please book waxing treatments for holidays at least 48 hours prior to departure.
